I am a computer scientist who has worn many different hats throughout his life: software executive, manager, programmer, teacher, and author. Like you, I have long been fascinated by the big questions: the mystery of human nature and belief, the purpose of our existence—or lack thereof—, how political systems shape civilization, and the promises and perils of technological advancement.
